I want my blog to be purposeful in helping people lose weight the healthy way.

I will give you a background on myself. I am currently 57-58 kilograms. I am usually 54 kilo grams. I am 66.5 inches. Sorry I am not using pounds, etc :/ 57-58 kilograms is around 125 pounds I guess.

Yes this is a good, normal weight; however, my roommate is a model. Yes literally a real advertisement model and she is tall, skinny, and healthy. I am so jealous sometimes I cant stand it and I believe it creates an unhealthy obsession sometimes. However, I want to do everything the healthy way. I believe I am healthy, but whenever you are living in Asia it is hard to believe that 5’6 125 pounds is good :/ Every girl here is so thin and tinny and yet they eat more than I do and eat such unhealthy foods. I believe they focus so much on their body so it becomes hard for me to feel beautiful in my own skin when I have been here for too long.

I know these things are stupid and I know I am venting, but I want people to know that this is normal, but not okay. We should not feel this way. We should feel beautiful in our skin and feel beautiful as we are. I know weight is just a number and it is more about being healthy and happy which is why I am going to recommend some more good and bad blogs.

This blog literally promotes being Anorexic. It is rather sad and helpless, but in some ways I blame society for making us believe what is considered beautiful is considered widely unhealthy.

Today I flipped through my instagram and in sparked the blog idea. ;p There was a 14 year old who is 5’4 and 97 pounds and she calls herself fat and only posts about becoming more skinny. She said she wants to be anorexic  Her motivation is Kate Moss who said “Nothing tatstes as good as skinny feels” Well thats because your British Kate and all of the food in your country sucks. Travel to India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Dubai, Lebanon and you will understand how that statement is completely false.

As much as I love her and Victoria Secret, their models for the most part set up an unrealistic image of the female body!

Every Asian high fashion advertisement promotes that beauty is virtually skinny and white. If you think I am kidding, come to Asia!!!

As much as I love Posh Spice, Becks you look better with some meet on your bones ;p Sexy doesnt always mean skinny. Sexy is healthy!

 

 

 

 

Halloween is coming as I start my detox diet. . . Who’d guess my favorite holiday where I gorge myself with chocolate, cake, and candy is only a week after I start detoxing!!

However, I am planning on using some of the fresh avocados I just bought to make a yummy guacamole and decorate to a funky Halloween theme ;p Tomorrow I have a kids Halloween Party so I need to really be prepared and ready to avoid temptations ;p

 

Our skin is our biggest organ and it is said to be our biggest detoxing unit. Therefore, a large range of health experts suggest dry brushing your skin every morning!

Stimulating your skin first thing in the morning will help circulation, which will stimulate the detoxification process in our skin. It is also believed that for eliminating dead skin cells it is much more effective to use a dry bristle brush over soap and water.

Suggestions for dry bristle scrubbing:

  1. Always use a natural bristle skin brush, for optimum results use a plant bristle.
  2. Perform on Dry Skin only.
  3. Generally stroke upward in one movement.
  4. Light strokes repeated 7 times.
  5. Adjust pressure to your comfort levels.
  6. Best to follow brushing with some form of hydrotherapy i.e. shower or bath
  7. Don’t brush more than you need to.  Over doing it does not mean better results.
  8. Work from left to right side of body.
  9. Avoid breast and genitals

I believe that taking Western medicine is scary! IF you can eliminate all medicines from your body and let your own body defend itself ;p You will be thankful when you realize how much healthier and cleaner your body is.

Anyways, I believe that Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM can aid our body in detoxing. Sometimes our body needs some triggers from within to help health and flush our body of toxins. Today I went to my first visit with a traditional Chinese acupuncturist. I know what your thinking, thats going to be expensive! HOWEVER, now springing up across the US are Community Acupuncture Clinics.Go visit and see! Listed below is a website to help you locate a clinic in your local area! 

If it is your first time to TCM you can explain to them that you are doing a detox and to help you jump start the process. Chances are your body is ridden with toxins and they can tell things that you are suffering from and it’ll blow your mind!

From reading my pulse my doctor knew that I hardly sleep, I am restless when I do sleep, that I have gained weight recently and that my body has toxins. 

He recommends I sleep earlier! ;p Therefore, I am going to TRY to sleep earlier !!
